A big thank you for a wonderful Trip made all the better with the Service provided by a cooperative and efficient Staff. Please pass on our appreciation. OUR fabulous TRIP Sailing on the Sound of Music From Amsterdam to Budapest May 2010 Written in an Aussie Accent. "All aboard!" called Captain Pete - "The Sound of Music waits" "Two Kiwis and an Aussie Gang, will be our sailing mates. We'll travel on from Amsterdam, with Budapest our goal. Our service, food and company - A balm for any soul." The Rhine will be our highway and our fearless Leader - Jan Will put in every effort just to activate this plan. We'll take a tour in Amsterdam - "The Venice of the North" A walk around the Old Cologne and then we'll venture forth to sail toward Remagen Bridge - arriving in Koblenz and onward to Rhine's scenic Gorge- with castles round each bend. Arriving now in Rudesheim, we'll visit old Siegfreid. His Music Boxes - Organs too. Impressive? Yes indeed!! Then in the night whilst all asleep, we'll pass by Frankfurt City. Our schedule deems we pass this place. We'll miss it - That's a pity! And now we leave the Rhine behind and sail into The Main. A show By Karl on blowing glass, then finds us in Wertheim. To Wurzburg and to Rothenberg. Historic both of them, To Bamberg, built on Seven Hills. It's called "Franconia's Gem." Now "Waltzing" on the Danube, we'll visit Nuremberg, Then Passau, with a side trip - (Sound of Music's famed Salzburg) Past Linz, Melk Abbey waits us and as well, we'll see Durnstein. Then on to Weissenkirchen - Taste some Wachau Valley Wine. We'll savour wine, we'll have a spa, each afternoon we'll hear Our Dimo weave his magic. We'll try Bavarian Beer. With their dulcet tones - "La Strada" and to "Pitch Work" we will dance We'll sail into Vienna. It's" The City of Romance". Then on to Bratislava and "The Captain's Farewell Dinner With Budapest within our sights - Enjoyment is the Winner!
