Today will be spent discovering Blenheim Palace, one of Britain’s finest stately homes. Built in the 18th century and listed as a World Heritage site in 1987, the palace is the birthplace and ancestral home of Winston Churchill. Its striking Baroque architecture is a sight to behold, along with the numerous tapestries and portraits housed within its many rooms. Enjoy a tour of the palace and learn about its fascinating history, notably Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown, Britain’s most famous landscape designer. Brown spent over 10 years creating the spectacular gardens at Blenheim Palace, including its 40-acre lake. You’ll also enjoy ample free time to explore the palace at leisure before returning to your hotel for dinner this evening.

This morning, bid farewell to Bath and travel by train to the beautiful coastal town of St Ives in Cornwall. Once a bustling fishing harbour, St Ives became the centre of Cornwall’s art scene in the 1920s. Colourful fishing boats dot the town’s picturesque turquoise bay and narrow cobbled streets are lined with charming stone cottages.

Enjoy free time to explore St Ives at your own pace this morning.
