Travelmarvel is delighted to be partnering with leading Norwegian cruise company Hurtigruten, offering a magical 10-day Norwegian Coastal Express in 2024.

With an exciting new itinerary designed to showcase the very best of Norway, Travelmarvel’s latest cruise promises to charm guests with unique experiences, stunning views and local flavours. Beginning with premium hotel stays in Oslo and Kirkenes, guests will then be invited aboard a Hurtigruten vessel for a five-night cruise along the beautiful Norwegian coastline before ending the tour with a final hotel stay in picture-perfect Bergen. Throughout the tour you will have exclusive access to an experienced Travelmarvel Tour Leader, as well as knowledgeable local guides who will provide insights into the region’s history, geography and geology with a range of onboard lectures and onshore excursions.

Hurtigruten ships have been sailing through Norway since 1893, dropping supplies to coastal towns and remote fishing villages. Known as ‘the world’s most beautiful voyage', it covers most of Norway's northern and western coasts, and there will be ample opportunity to get to know the locals, as Norwegians rely on Hurtigruten’s ships for transport, post, and cargo, stopping at coastal communities both big and small. Thanks to these regular stops, Travelmarvel guests will have access to an authentic taste of Scandinavia as the onboard restaurant works with 50 local suppliers who deliver direct to the ship, meaning you will sample the freshest regional specialties, including Arctic char from Vesterålen, award-winning cheeses from Lofoten, and succulent king crab from Tromsø.

As you would expect from a cruise along the Atlantic coastline, there is a plethora of breathtaking natural sights. While on board, delight in the beauty of the Helgeland Coast and the dramatic granite peaks of neighbouring Lofoten and Vesterålen islands and marvel at the raw wilderness of the North Cape plateau soaring 307 metres above the Arctic Ocean. There are even onboard photography lessons so you can learn how to best capture the astonishing scenery.

In addition to enjoying incredible views as you journey north, there are also 18 idyllic towns, villages, and cities to be explored. Travelmarvel guests will have access to unique experiences led by Norwegian guides eager to share an exciting insight into their hometown, with excursions including a tour of Trondheim, a visit to Nidaros Cathedral and breakfast at Europe’s northernmost point. You can also opt for additional immersive cultural experiences such as visiting one of Lofoten Island’s tiny fishing villages and walking to the old watchtower at Varden viewpoint for magnificent views across Kristiansund.

Don’t miss out on 'the world’s most beautiful voyage' Norwegian Coastal Express - launching in 2024 cruise departures are available from May to December 2024, and March to April 2025.
