What is your cancellation policy?

How much am I required to tip?

Please refer to your 'Preparing for your trip' information for each tour.

When is the final balance of my trip due?

Final payment is due 100 days prior to departure unless stated in the terms of the offer. Please see General Information & Conditions for more information. For reservations made less than 100 days before departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.

How much do I need to tip whilst on the tour?

We include gratuities for your Cruise/Tour Director in the tour price. If however you are travelling before/after your tour, please refer to our 'Prepare for Your Trip' for more detailed information.

Am I able to travel alone?

Yes, many of our passengers travel on their own, and we have specific prices for solo travellers.

How do I organise my visa?

Whether or not you require a visa will depend on your country of origin and your destination. Please see our 'Prepare for Your Trip' documents found within the destinational information on this site, or feel free to ask our staff who will be able to provide you with more information.

Do you allow children on your tours?

Yes, there is a minimum age, which varies between different tours. Please enquire for further details.

Do you have Guaranteed Departures?

Yes Travelmarvel does have guaranteed departures - see the Itinerary / Dates and Prices page on this website for a tour's availability, or it can be advised on enquiry.

What are the luggage restrictions?

Generally the allowance is a 20kg bag, plus a piece of hand luggage, however some tours have further restrictions, so please refer to the specific restrictions of each tour. Some airlines also have different allowances, so please refer to specific restrictions of each tour.

How many seats are there on the coaches?

This depends on the destination and varies between 38 and 48, however for some destinations it is necessary to user smaller vehicles to travel around the destination.

What is the average age of people on Travelmarvel tours?

Our clients are generally 55+, however we do get a full range of ages travelling with us.

How long is spent in the coach each day?

Each day's touring will vary, however, you will always get time for sightseeing or personal breaks. See individual itineraries for further details.

Is there internet access whilst of cruise/tour?

Many of the ships and hotels now have internet access, however please refer to the specific tour hints for your destination on the 'Prepare for Your Trip' page.

Can any Travelmarvel tour be split at any stage and then rejoined at a later date?

Yes, you can split an escorted tour at any stage and join the same tour at a later stage, however, this must be arranged at the time of booking and there are restrictions that apply to the duration of the tour. (Note: due to some styles of touring this cannot be applied to all of our tours.)

Are the flights included?

Flights are generally not included within your tour. Normally, the itinerary will specifically state that flights are included when this is the case. Our reservations staff will be happy to assist you with your flight reservations.

Do you pick up or drop off at the airport from any hotel?

Travelmarvel will only pick up or drop off when accommodation is booked through Travelmarvel, however there are some restrictions that apply to some tours in regards to the number of pick up and drop off options. Please contact Travelmarvel for further details.

What are the passport requirements for travelling overseas?

The requirements change depending on your destination. Refer to our 'Preparing for you trip' page, found within the specific destination information on this website. Most countries have very informative websites that explain their requirements, or contact Travelmarvel or your travel agent for further details.

Are flights included on Travelmarvel trips?

Your international flights are generally not included. Internal flights are included in Europe, Asia, South America & Africa. Our reservations team will be happy to assist you with this information and your flight reservations.

Are airport transfers included, once I arrive in my destination?

Yes, as long as you have booked a hotel through Travelmarvel, airport transfers will be included.

Do I need vaccinations to travel?

You should consult your GP or travel doctor well in advance on your departure date for the most up to date advice, or alternatively check through

What are the physical requirements for an average day?

Our tours are generally not too physically demanding, however you will need to be able to be mobile, and if not mobile, must be travelling with a companion who can assist. There are specific tours where a good level of fitness is required so please refer to the 'Prepare for Your Trip' information for each tour.

Is it safe to travel to my destination?

Can I travel with a sleep apnoea machine?

Travelling with sleep apnoea machines is generally possible. Please notify our reservations staff at time of booking to ensure the hotels/ships are able to accommodate this and similar devices.

Are all meals included with Travelmarvel?

Selected meals are included on Travelmarvel tours, including special 'Insider Experiences' Dining, designed to provide you with a truly local experience.

Are you able to accommodate gluten free/vegetarian, etc?

Travelmarvel will endeavour to cater for all special diets and preferences. Please advise us of your dietary requirements at the time of booking and we will include the information within your booking to ensure you are catered for appropriately. Please note that in more remote locations options may be more limited.
