Auckland to Queenstown

Welcome to Auckland! On arrival you’ll be met with a private transfer to your hotel. Set out on a tour of the city with your own guide. Learn about the history of Auckland and its traditional inhabitants, the Maori. Admire the harbour and picturesque city views from Bastion Point Lookout. You’ll also enjoy a full day to experience Auckland independently.

Stay: Three Nights, Rydges Auckland

Jump aboard the train down to the city of Wellington. On arrival, be privately transferred to your hotel. Get to know New Zealand’s capital city on a private tour, enjoying many of the main sights. The following day is free for you to explore many of the city’s attractions at your own pace. Walk through the botanical gardens, ride the cable car for some of the most beautiful views of the harbour and city or visit the Beehive building.

Stay: Three nights, Travelodge Wellington

You will be transferred to the ferry terminal to take the famous Interislander ferry to Picton. On arrival, a private transfer takes you to Christchurch. A city on the rebuild, Christchurch has an abundance of public artwork and funky cafes, as well as a distinct feeling of positivity. On a private tour, you’ll see how the city has bounced back after the devastating earthquakes. Pass the Canterbury Earthquake National Memorial, the Chalice Sculpture, the New Zealand World Peace Bell and the Cardboard Cathedral. A free day allows for further independent exploration.

Stay: Two nights, Christchurch, Quality Elms Hotel

Get ready for some amazing scenery as you fly into Queenstown. On a scenic tour around Queenstown, take in area's famous mountain peaks, tranquil lakes and rivers, striking canyons and beautiful national parks. You’ll also learn about the gold mining history and enjoy plenty of free time to experience the city and the region however you please. Your final day is spent exploring Milford Sound in Fiordland National Park. Travel alongside Lake Wakatipu to Te Anau where you’ll pause for a short rest stop. From Te Anau, the overland journey to Milford Sound reveals sheer mountains and towering cliffs, rugged valleys and native rainforest surrounded by teeming waterfalls and glacial lakes.

Stay: Four nights, Queenstown, Copthorne Hotel & Apartments

Today your journey ends with a private transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
