Arrive in the enthralling city of Budapest, where your river ship awaits on the Danube River. Enjoy a Captain’s Welcome Reception and meet your fellow travellers and Cruise Director.

Awake to views of one of the Danube’s most enchanting cities this morning. Disembark and learn the vibrant history of Budapest as your local guide takes you to a host of impressive sights. Afterwards, get into the festive spirit with a visit to two of the city’s charming Christmas markets. Back on board this evening, enjoy a delightful Gala Welcome Dinner while you cruise.

Vienna - Christmas Eve
Take in Vienna’s Ringstrasse, plus enjoy a visit to St Stephen’s Cathedral. Afterwards, wander through the Christmas markets and perhaps pick up a souvenir or two. As the scent of mulled wine and gingerbread fills the wintry air, you’ll come to realise that the festive season in Europe is nothing short of magical.

Celebrate a magical Christmas Day in Vienna with a visit to Schonbrunn Palace. Later, enjoy a traditional Christmas feast on board your ship with all the trimmings.

Durnstein, Melk - Boxing Day
Cruise to the town of Durnstein and enjoy a stroll past rustic town houses and taverns. Along the way, gaze up to the hilltop ruins of the castle where King Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned. Cruise through the Wachau Valley to Melk. Later tour through Melk Abbey, an active Benedictine monastery since 1089.

INSIDER EXPERIENCE
Tonight, enjoy a traditional Bavarian experience on board. Sample delicious local beer and snacks, accompanied by traditional folk music, song and dance.
Perhaps join an optional tour to Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic, or travel to Salzburg and enjoy the sights from ‘The Sound of Music’. Alternatively, stay on board and enjoy a relaxing sailing day to Passau.

Continue along the Danube River to Regensburg, located in the southern region of the Bavarian Forest. Here, wander along its cobblestone lanes, taking a journey through the ages as you explore the historic streets, medieval buildings and cultural sites on your guided walking tour. This evening, enjoy a Captain’s Farewell Dinner.

Nuremberg, Disembark Ship, Depart Munich
After breakfast today, disembark your ship in Nuremberg and be transferred to the airport in Munich for your onward flight.
